A quiet week this week, unfortunately not the white Christmas that we hoped to have with Amy just a cold one! We did have a little snow fall but it melted pretty quickly.
Whilst family and friends spent the day either at the beach or in the pool we had the pleasure of watching the re-enactment of George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River which occurred on the eve of 25th December 1776. People come from all around the area to participate in these re-enactments.
This week is known as Patriot week in Trenton, NJ which has a whole week of living history and today we watched the battle of Trenton re-enactments.
Amy and I did a quick visit to the Philadelphia Zoo – the first zoo in the US. She also attended an ice hockey game with Digby.
One activity that is popular at this time of the year is the Christmas displays at the Longwood Gardens.
Next week we are heading to Washington DC, hopefully we will be able to pull Amy away from the cricket! I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year, wow 2020.
